Rare Specie of an Albino Buffalo calf in Kenya Hells gate park

There has been reported an in the Hells Gate park in Kenya; an Albino Buffalo now three months old te mother continues to keep watch over her. She is different almost looking like a cow this occurence rarely occurs in hte human race and even more rare in animals. This occurence has never occurence and will sooner or later be in the Guiness book of world records. Presently the calf has a trying time for the communities in Kenya believe that an albino occurence is a bad omen and it is endangered; more soo in the wild by nature the buffaloes are as they are by nature for adaptation in the wild; being able to blend with environment for their survival; for the calf it would be vulnerable in the wild and we are hoping that the Kenya Wildlife Service will come in and take care of this buffalo albino species ever seenin the world.

Grand Mother's night out with lions

She went out on Saturday to buy candles and matches, but ended up walking with lions and buffaloes in Lake Nakuru National Park.
She talks of stumbling across "big cows" that were being chased by "big dogs" dur­ing her odyssey in the park. But accord­ing to Kenya Wildlife Service rangers, what she saw were lions stalking a buf­falo, and probably some hyena scavenging at the scene.

Mama Elizabeth Wairimu, 65, was visit­ing her daughter in the Lanet area on the periphery of the park when there was a power failure at about 7pm.
And she was in unfamiliar territory. Mama Wairimu had visited Lanet the
previous week from Murang'a, and was alone in the house since her host - her daughter - had travelled to Subukia to check on the condition of a sick relative.

Power failed

When power failed and Ms Wairimu saw Kenya Power and Lighting Company technicians trying to restore fallen supply lines, she realised it might be a long night of darkness. And that's why she decided to go and buy a matchbox and candles before start­ing to prepare the evening meal. In the moonlight, she headed for a building she assumed was the shopping centre, but unknown to her it was a build­ing  within the park. 'She took a footpath and crossed an electric fence, designed to keep animals within the park; that night, the wires were not live. In the darkness, however, she became disoriented, lost sight of the building she was headed for, and followed a path that saw her wander deeper and deeper into the park. Minutes turned into hours and Ms Wairimu realised she was completely lost. But she kept on walking, hoping she would come across a settlement where she could get help. At some point she diverted to a large open area where she came across, a large herd of grazing animals that must have been buffaloes, She thought they were huge black cows - the prized herds kept by big ranchers."I thought this was a ranch, and the next thing I expected was a home where they could accommodate me for the night before returning to my daughter's house in the morning," she said, to disappointment, there appeared no house in sight. She decided to take another direction that led her to "a crystal white field'; and she marveled at the waters of Lake Nakuru.

On approaching the shores of the lake,she again decided to walk towards left hand side where again she came across another herd of “huge cattle,” but this time being "chased by very big dogs”. The animals passed close by her and awestruck at the turn ofevents."Where is the owner of these cattle and why has he allowed his dogs to attack such harmless livestock?" she wondered.

Unknown to her, she was in Lion Hill, where lions are and buffaloes rule  the plains.

Having walked for 12kilometres, she was tired and decided to rest. She took a nap by a murram  track, part of the park. Morning was approaching she reasoned that if she was patient enough a matatu would pass by (means of transport used in kenya). But what came to her rescue was not a matatu, but a tourist van taking guests out for an early morning game drive. The tourists from the US did not know what to make of an elderly woman, alone and seemingly confused in the middle of the park. In her green jumpers, flowered dress and sandals, she was neither dressed for camping nor hiking. Tired, hungry, confused and disoriented, gladly accepted the offer of a ride, and was soon a guest enjoying the comfort of Lake Nakuru Lodge. She was allowed to bathe, then  given a hearty breakfast before she astounded lodge manager and his staff with her remarkable tale  of an unintended adventured  in the park. The lodge alerted the KWS (Kenya Wildlife Service) team, and announcement were soon made through a vernacular radio station  that a missing woman had been found. KWS rangers took her from the lodge and handed her over to worried relatives at the Lanet park gate. But while everybody was aghast at her walk through the wild teaming buffaloes, lions, hyenas, leopards, snakes and other dangerous animals, she did not see what the fuss was all about. “God would not have let me to die because I believe in Him as my protector through constant prayers,” she said.
